    Aerial / Freeview

i have a TV up in the bedroom with inbuilt freeview which I'd like to connect up.

Could i buy an indoor aerial (seen them in asda etc but a fam member tried one in their room and the signal was awful) or would I have to somehow link the aerial on the house roof to it?

I dont think an indoor aerial would give you much joy, you will need to use an aerial splitter from the incoming aerial in the attic

I put an aerial in the loft for my bedroom one. The one on the roof goes straight to the lounge and it seemed more hassle than it was worth.

    The attic one works perfectly

I just bought a normal outdoor ariel & put it in the attic above my bedroom.
Dropped the cable down through the ceiling & straight into the back of my TV
    Fantastic picture

you could always try a digisender. You connect it to your tv downstairs, connect it to your tv upstairs (no wires) and off you go, you get all your downstairs channels upstairs and can also use the remote control upstairs. No aerial required. I do this and saved cost/hassle of fitting aerials/splitters etc.

The one I use is in the below link, costs about £33..................

What so with the digisender I'd get all the cable channels that we have downstairs? Would I have to watch what's on downstairs or would it be independant?

The aerial on the roof used to lead into a different bedroom but now it isn't doing anything so tomorrow I'll push it though my ceiling and hope it's long enough lol.I guess you can get extender wires easily? I'm not familiar with all this stuff.

I bought one of those the other week and it was utter pap, am now running a cable from my PVR downstairs to the bedroom and buying an IR extender so i can watch recorded stuff upstairs.

Not saying it won't work for you op, but mine was total tosh!!

quick question. My sky box wont work no more which is what I've used for the free channels for a while. I've had no TV for 2 weeks

There is a arieal in my attic, and there is also a ariel looking connection in my room, but it doesnt seem to work? I remember looking up in the attic a few years ago and theres wire connected to it and running in the loft so I dont know why? anybody got any ideas ? as I want to move to Freeview or maybe Freeview HD I reckon a indoor arieal wont be any good? what you guys think?
