    Aldi putting deals out early..

..don't know if this is all over the place but 2 weeks on the trot my local Aldi have had deals out early, last Saturday I picked up the DVD micro and have just picked up the little £58 digital video camera...

might be worth checking out your local today if you are after any Sunday deals..

I was after that camcorder but was waiting till tomorrow .
    What's it like ?
Have you had a play with it yet ?
Have seen some similar camcorders [Kodak] , the quality's excellent but suffer from image stabilizing problem .
I just wonder what the Aldi's like .
    Any feedback please ??

certainly on paper it whips any similar competion on spec and price, I was at first going for the Vivitar one at £75 but the Tevion one is of better spec(again on paper)..

I am just after something cheap and fun, this fits the bill for me, the stills function seems pretty decent too.

Cheers for that, just downloaded the .pdf and had a read.Seem to have quite a few functions ,but it's the picture quality that counts .I may go to my local shop tomorrow and have alook for myself .Many thanks

The Tevion is a rebranded Jazz HDV178, the Vivitar is a rebranded Jazz HDV188 but is basically the same in functions. The only differences are on the Vivitar the display does not fold back on itself but can be used propped up with the unt on the desk and the on/off button is on the top. A few other cosmetics but the main difference is a big 3" display which makes the picture brighter

Any other HD camcorders at this price offer the same sort of functions (Toshiba Camilo etc) its the extras you get with the Tevion that make it better value

Im very happy with mine (not bought from Aldi, EBay)
I use mine in a harsh enviroment and I am happy with the quality (tip, do not use image stabilsation or leave it on night shots when taking video during the day)
Just been flying with mine this morning and had 4 videos out of it and its fixed into an RC plane at that, so I know it copes with cold (-2 deg) and some vibration without problems
