I just noticed Alex Kidd in Miracle World (the first ever 8-bit Sega Master System Game) is coming to Switch, along with some other mostly not very exciting SMS games.

The last and only time Alex Kidd appeared on a Nintendo system I believe was Wii 2008, so this is a big deal, there is a lot of love for the iconic character that is Alex Kidd from the old timers like me.

Woo hoo loved it as a kid.
Best Game growing up! Paper Rock Scissors!
If you had a master system II, you had this or sonic built in.

Having a built in game was great
Hope it's under £5 as it's not worth anything more.
Master System II
ohhh good memories
Is not clear at this stage if digital only. There may be a physical Sega AGES cart with several of the SMS games on it.

I'd quite like to see Fantasy Zone 1+2 (R-Type style cartoony looking shoot-em-up games) on Switch. They did make it to the 3DS but they were too fast for the little screens. Great games though, with superb bosses, power-ups and a shop!

The thing the otherwise excellent joy cons lack for these retro 8-bit games, is a D pad, which is pretty essential if you don't wanna throw things about the room when playing.

And it's all yours switch owners for just £59.99

And exclusive cardboard Alex the Kidd available separately for £19.99
Remember it well. You had to remember the Rock Paper Scissors cause if you got killed there was no save points so returned to the start. Was up all night trying to complete
the Rock, Paper, Scissors was not random though. From the start it was always 100% the exact same pattern. But if you were good you had just enough with split second timing to respond to the image in the cloud of the opponent.

Of course you can just cheat now and look it up on the internet, didn't have that when I first played Alex Kidd
This is amazing! I set my old systems up not so long ago and having to navigate the last level on Alex Kidd was pretty tricky with a dodgy controller. If you know the level you'll know exactly what I mean...

Holy sh*t!

Rock, paper, scissors!
Never got the chance to play this as a young un - look forward to trying it out as an old un
I was really hoping Nicalis would have made the game to give it the Wonderboy 3 treatment with a redrawn GFX and music update. There is nifty music in Alex Kidd, to have heard it re-recorded with a mini orchestra would have been epic. Not complaining though

Kids do not realise how lucky they are today, or maybe not!? I remember having friends that were willing to invite me around to play most of the time and even then when the PS1 came out there family rented one from Blockbuster for the weekend most kids have one each in there rooms and isolate themselves away and people wonder why there’s such huge issues with young people at the moment with mental health , they’re unable to socialise in the bigger world. Also parents have no worries in buying kids COD or GTA . We gamed together in front of Mom with more than one pad which is a rare thing now- we even ate together people even take food to there rooms to continue playing!!
