went over it on a bus...so so.

I was last there 4 years ago & I enjoyed it very much. My OH is a structural engineer & I had to literally drag him out of it as it explained in detail how the thing was built.

If you like & enjoy history, then you'll enjoy this.

No. It's a historical walk through the building of the bridge!

Good luck! The queues were horrendous at MT. I bought those Merlin Passes (worth it for us with so many attractions nearby - and meant we just walked to the front of the line VIP style.)

Dont bother with the Aquarium - its a rip off. Price (without our free entry pass) is £15.75. I'd be gutted if I'd paid more than a fiver. London Eye is ok if you've not been on it - but its pricey also. (Yes there will be bogof deals you can get.) The Museums are always the best value. (Well they would - being free!) Natural History and Science are good places also - plus they are right next to each other.

Kids arnt bothered about the London Eye or other attractions, just want to look at Buck house, Downing St. , Trafalger Square etc and go on the tube.........easily pleased my lot :-D

the basement at the science museum has a play area for kiddies to play in, inside, good to know if its raining, and also space for you all to eat if you have bought packed lunches... the cafe there is expensive! but agree with everyone who have said the museums are great

my boys are 14 and 12 so wouldnt be impressed if I stuck them in a kiddies area :-D:-D Museums will take up most of our day I guess, TBH we may even skip Tussauds if it looks too busy......get some culture inside them I say :-D (nothing to do with them being free..honest :whistling: )

oh at that age i'd say you can run them ragged. at least they travel better than little ones. what about the planetarium if they havent seen it yet? theres a kinda ride inside now too and at that age the trocadero... it used to have a rollercoaster inside it.. wonder if its still there.

With the queues as they were, I'd probably suggest avoiding MT. I know Lou went there yesterday (see Chesso's photo thread) and was told by someone inside, it had taken over 2 hours just to get in!

We were in and out in about 75 minutes, though we did meet up with Barrak Obamha! :w00t: Loads and Loads of photo opportunities of course. If thats your thing, then go for it. Too crowded to really take it all in, though easy enough (if your not too slow) to get piccies done.

gonna assess the situation when we get there now. 2 hours is a long time to waste when we only have about 9 hours in total. If its a decent day weather wise, the boys have said they are happy enough to sight see, thanks for the heads up everyone

basically if you like castles you'll like the tower.

its pretty cool there so central in the city and is a fair bit of walking around. some rooms are inside, the majority of course is outside. last time we went there was some kind of drama group there acting out mediaeval scenes and they grabbed me hubby and kids to act as king queen and children which the kids thought was well cool !

    have a lovely visit x
