Alternative to home broadband? Vodafone Gigacube or other?

We're moving house and I'm really struggling to find an internet provider that will give us any decent speeds. Can't get Virgin Media and BT, Talk Talk, Sky etc are all saying we can get 8mb max. This is pretty useless to use as we use the Internet heavily for streaming, gaming etc. I saw on Vodafones website they have a system for people who can't get home broadband, the Gigacube.
Has anyone used this system? It seems pretty pricey, are there any alternatives we should look at?
