ALTON TOWERS - Is Fast Track a must ?????

Found 4th Jul 2010
Hello,

Going to Alton Towers on Tuesday and wondering if the "fast track" tickets for rides is a must ?? and if so, which fast track ticket package is a good one ?

Would you expect the park to be very busy on a Tuesday ?? (not been for 10 years!)

Any advice would be good!

Thanks

Rick

I went 7th and 8th of June and got the Fastrack Scream (Nemesis, Air and Oblivion) for both days. In the morning most rides were walk on but in the afternoon they proved very useful as by then queues were reaching 50+ minutes and using Fastrack we had no more than a ten minute wait.

Thanks for that, Im thinking the cheaper fast track tickets could be useful.

Can you buy them at the gate??, (I have got some 2 4 1 tickets for the general tickets so got to pay at the gate)

Cheers

Rick

I went on a Tue in May with my students, in 3 hours a group of them went on air,.oblivion and rita. Literally just those rides, no food etc.

I guess you join the other queue.

Would you expect it to be busy on a tuesday this week?

Just looked on a theme park site and that forecasts the site as quiet............. ????

I never buy fast track tickets, but at this time of year it would be a benefit as it will be getting very busy.

Remember though, use your fast track tickets at peak time, i would say between 11 - 3. You can only use them once per ride and the ques are shortest nearer to opening time and closing time. When i went the other week i saw people using them at 10.30 in the morning and the que was only 15 minutes long.

lol its roasting out there, i doubt itll be quiet on a hot summer week......people beating school holidays

maybe they trying to entice you in.......

i went 3 saturdays ago,que for oblivion was fine 15 mins maybe but other rides like rita ,thirten and air were upto 50 mins at peak time, this was a hot saturday though and we had free tickets so im sure a few hundred others had aswel as it was packed,

i think a tuesday should be much better for getting on rides.

Yeah it will be.

I went 2 Wednesdays ago and the que on Oblivion was 5 minutes at most. The other rides were pushing 30 minutes with Thirteen about 45 minutes.
