Am I entitled to a refund?

I bought some football boots of the internet and the box that they came in has 2 medium size tears on the corner of the box. The boots are too small for me so I would like a refund and also be refunded for my postage costs.

If I said I bought them as a gift and I don't believe the box is presentable am I entitled to a refund?

    Thanks,

    The JFK

You will be entitled to a refund for the boots but I very much doubt you will get the p&p refunded. Plus you will have to pay to send them back.

I know, that's what's annoying about it. It will cost me £4 to send the boots back and another £4 for them to send me a replacement hence why I seeing if I can claim the item is faulty.

I can definatly get a refund, I just want a refund on the postage aswell. Their T&C claims if an item is faulty then they will also refund the postage.

So can I claim that the item is faulty because the shoebox has 2 rips in it?

The boots come up small. They say size 9 but they are really an 8.5.

Because the shoe is a size 9 but it comes up small. There is no chance they will pay my postage if I say that.

If they sent you what you ordered and the box is torn, it's tough. Could have happened anywhere. Don't try that. Just phone them saying they don't fit and they should refund the cost of the boots but not the postage. That is up to the consumer. You'd be best selling them on here.

If you were convinced you'd get a refund on that basis then you'd contact the company and cite that as the reason, but you know you're flogging a dead horse, its not us you have to convince!

When you get well off you realise that saving a few pounds for all the hassle and time you lose is not worth it. You do sound a bit childish by trying to say you want a refund because the box is a little damaged, the box is packaging, you wear the boots.

i agree, i would do the same, get the most you can out of these companies,

whenever there is a massive misprice everyone is too quick to get in there, probably costs them alot more than when somebody wants £8 back, your all too judgy on here
