I ordered something from Gear4music.co.uk a while back it wasnt going to be in stock for a month, a week before it was due back in stock i changed the delivery date on the website to the 18th feb because i didnt have money in the bank at the time, however they have seemed to ignore the date i requested delivery on and posted it yesterday - received today, however they took no money out of the bank (theres not enough in there) i have a VISA ELECTRON that i got when i was 16 so i should think i cant go overdrawn. Will i be contacted by the shop and asked to pay? (witch i will do) rather than be sent into negative balance? im with HALIFAX.

you can go overdrawn, i'm with halifax, visa electron, and i have gone overdrawn once, charged £35 (was waived as first time) how old are you? they can only charge you when you're 18+ for going overdrawn.

You'll get overdrawn. I was under the same impression with my solo card.
Got a letter 5 days later saying i was overdrawn and had to pay around £300 in bank charges.

why not? clearly states it is a "Preferred delivery date"so they are under no obligation to deliver on the date you selected.

you should have just cancelled an re-ordered when you could afford it. It will be your fault if you get bank charges, not the shop.

Best thing to do is contact your bank as soon as possible to tell them what has happened, that way you have more chance of them letting you off with the charges as it shows you were aware of the problem.
