With a lot of economist predicting a recess in the UK economy in Q4 17 and Q1 18 why would you bother with Black Friday?

Anyone who has been on this site for a while will know the best deals came for those with cash during in the recession.

Black Friday promises nothing more then retailers selling cheap products they can still make a profit on. You have already seen some genuinely decent deals on PCs at PC world group over the last few weeks. They aint keeping nothing back for black Friday.

Black Friday is when the con is on for the stores to seek out mug worthy british shoppers!

Your best to wait to see how the economy pans out as you may then be able to scoop a product you genuinely want at a keener price if its not on offer on black Friday.
Shouldn't this be called Black Fortnight now? It's close enough to one.

In the murky blue
The problem with it is the retailers have worked out that they can beat the competition by doing their deals a few weeks earlier instead of competing directly with prices on the actual Black Friday weekend.

Then there's Cyber Monday..... They are of course all gimmicks, however if you're after a certain item and keep missing deals (like me) then it's a good time to look again during this period. If a retailer is going to sell something at the lowest it can but still making a profit, this is the best time to shop.

If you have the time, you can obviously always find deals and better prices. Some don't have this free time.
