Amazon Black Friday has it lost it's sparkle? Are you off put by how you have to navigate the Black Friday page?

Black Friday page is a total mess. It's so chaotic it makes it hard to even be bothered to look and see what's there.

I never thought the lightening deals were wonderful... but after this I am really missing them. I knew what was there, I knew when it was coming. It was fun trying to guess what the price would be with others.

Now it's just... blegh. I don't really know where to start and can't get stuck in.

Categories don't really help, they don't break things down far enough. Can only display a small amount of items on each page, which is wearing. If you want to look through the whole lot, that'll be 238 pages! And even then you will have to click on many items to see the actual price.

Then the prices are poo anyway. Everything I have been interested in has been of an equal price elsewhere.

Have heard others say they have found better Black Friday deals on Amazon that aren't even listed on the Black Friday page. Items they have specifically searched for or had saved in their basket.

There aren't even thing that are random enough to make me laugh, it hasn't even got that entertainment aspect going for it anymore.

Then on a normal day it's nearly impossible to sort search results by price. It seems like every change they make it gets less user friendly.

Aye I know, I am whinging again and outside the whinge thread. Sorry about that. Bring on the flamedeer, they might be less disappointing this year.

There seems to be many xbox and ps4 deals but not many for a good quality TV.

Yep i hate how it looks and the number of deals they have.

238 pages and there are probably 2 or 3 items that are actually worth having.

I see 238 pages to scroll through and I imediately lose interest.

When it was the lightening deals of a few years ago i would typically buy 8 or 9 items over the week, now its lucky if i buy 2

Same, the 1440p monitors are still overpriced asf.

Yeah I agree. Best way I have found is to change filter to available or upcoming deals then set to lightening deals. Defo spent a lot less this yr on Amazon than past couple cos harder to navigate.

I don't think Amazon end sell better-than-mid-range TV's any more. They all come from 3rd party sellers I've never heard of

Disappointed with the whole Amazon Black friday. Thought they would have some decent offers.
At least the firestick for £20 or spend some £30 on gift card and get £10 etc.. nothing.

First year as a prime member and it was meh.

Is that under 'New Black Friday Deals' then 'All Available'? If not I am struggling to even see how to do that.

Same, all Primed up and nothing worth buying

ps. I requested they add to search by price and also to exclude locations.
So you can search UK only like ebay. They said they will pass on the info. This was about 3 weeks

Ah, another Black Friday thread.

Already a thread in feedback pointing out what a mess it is too.

Not from Amazon. I've bought one thing from another shop and that's it.

Cashback on Curry's TVs through TCB make them the best prices I've seen; but not really anything to write home about. I noticed the TV I was after has only dropped several pence since yesterday, just so they can slap a Black Friday logo on it.

It's just suits who have preplanned it for 6 months.

Sky black Friday that is running for three weeks.
Curry's running it for a week.
Amazon two weeks.

Used to be spontaneous, but now it is a general sale.

I saw a deal approaching yesterday for a TV I was interested in, the timer counted down and eagerly placed my cursor over ready to pounce in the final seconds. Then all it said was "view deal" which took me to the normal amazon page where the price was excatly the same as it was before.

I got a VR helmet for £7.99, and a couple of motion led lights for wardrobes and thats about it.

If they made the search work on the Lightning deals it would be easier, sure it used to allow you to do it. the other retailers have got wise to Amazon this year forcing their hand on many of the offers which is good to see.

I'm glad you told them, but I won't hold my breathe. I suspect they make a lot of money out of making it hard to search.

The only suggestion of mine they have ever taken on is stopping selling pronged dog collars. They took them off Amazon UK but refused to remove the from amazon.com

Very true. I can see the benefit for people that don't have time to look on a Friday, but it seems to be at the expense of any decent prices.

Yep. I click today's deals or Black Friday. Scroll down and filters on left. If select lightening deals and available it seems easier to find stuff. You can filter on category too.

That's really bad about the TV

Mind if I ask what wardrobe lights you got? That was actually something I was half looking for.

As others have mentioned, it is possible to filter out everything except the lightning deals. Worked that one out after a morning of struggling to browse through pages and pages of deals, most of which weren't lightning deals. I have bought a couple of little things this year, but not as much as I did last year, which in itself wasn't as much as I purchased the year before. In general I think there is more gunk than in the past.

Even so, they aren't sorted by time remaining. As far as I can tell you can only sort by top deals, price and discount. So it doesn't really make that much difference. There's probably stuff expiring on page 100 I will never see and I can't display any more items per page.

It's just designed to be difficult as far as I can tell. I'm glad you managed to find some worthwhile stuff anyway

Disappointed with black Friday in general. There's a few decent prices on PS4/Xbox games and consoles, but nothing much besides that. I was hoping for a GTX 1060 6gb below £200, but nope.

It was a washout .... Now gearing up for Cyber Monday !

I never understood Cyber Monday in the first place. At least that can't disappoint me!

Edit: Whoa, interesting typo.

amazon.co.uk/ZEE…ght

They were £7.19 in lightning deal, usb charging, very bright, motion detection and has a plastic holder you either stick or screw anywhere (lights also have magnets to hang on to metal). Only charged once so not sure how long it holds a charge for, had them since last week. Ive got them in a wardrobe so when you open the door it lights up inside (bright enough to cast a light in the dark mornings also). You could use them as a night light or warning that a burglar is just about to twonk you over the head!?

I got Fifa PS4 for £30 from Amazon and had paid £44 for it last week from Sainsburys - but that was with the double up Nectar points so unsure how to return it to Sainsburys ....

Not really sure it ever had any sparkle don't think I bought a thing last year
this year what I have bought has been from the warehouse deal

I don't think anything will ever top the year of the cat fountain. It used to be entertaining and sport.

yeah. the rest of the BF site is a mess. I have a gift card and can't be bothered to trawl through to see where to spend it.

i had one product in my basket as i was waiting to see if they would triple the digital credit like last year. instead i get £3 pantry credit for no rush delivery. i just cancelled the order and will wait till this is all over and get normal £1 digital credit; i buy a lot of books. yeah, they are **** this year!

Pretty much the best BF deal that I've seen... Linky

It has been rubbish this year plus I read that manufacturers are making cheap (ie substandard) products just for BF, probably those TVs that the masses scramble for.
