Amazon Gift certificates

Hi all, i'm about to redeem my nectar points online and request an amazon gift certificate, however what can I buy with these, can I use them to get anything from amazon.co.uk, or does it have to be sold directly from them?

What I want to do is use the certificate against a phone, however the phone is 'Dispatched from and sold by Prepaymania', would I be able to use it against this?

Rep for help!
