I saw the one post about someone getting a 20p dyson, just wondered if anyone else had received an Amazon mis price? I really wanted the family guy dvd box set that was mispriced but had the cancellation notice, just wondered if anyone had argued and won or anything??

I've argued before when I ordered a mis-priced Disney DVD Boxset and eventually got a £5 credit on my account. It took a number of calls and was passed from person to person. TBH, it probably cost me more in time and effort than the £5 credit was worth.

On what basis can you argue and win? The pricing on the website is just an invitation to treat, not an offer, so until they accept there's no contract there.

Well they sent an email confirming my order so at the end of the day, it's their fault and not mine?

The amount of time it took for them to cancel - With the reason being, 'unable to obtain from supplier' - Even though some people reported that they'd taken delivery and they had appeared back in stock the same day, but at a higher price.

The credit was a 'goodwill gesture' and in no way was an acceptance of liability.. blah, blah, blah!!.

i read on here someone got their 20p dyson, my bf got laurel and hardy! but all our family guys got cancelled
their family guy orders went up 200,00% insane!

Don't bother they wont budge, I've tried. Not even an offer of a good will voucher. I wouldn't mind if they had cancelled all the orders, but the fact that some have got theirs has really got my blood boiling.

Next stop consumer direct etc. :x

I wonder if all those who got their stuff would mind listing Amazon ID's and / or order numbers? Amazon are denying (to me at least) that any mis-prices were sent out, but if we can prove they supplied some at that price then there may just be legal leg to stand on for those with cancelled orders, as they have set a precedent by honouring some of the orders.

EDIT: called consumer direct, there's nothing they can do unless there's any indication of Amazon doing it on purpose. The only thing to do is complain like hell and vote with your feet, if enough people did that they might listen.

they do not have to give you the goods unless they take the money from your account.
