Amazon Prime membership or Costco ?

I am confused if I should go for Amazon Prime or Costco. Just want to know people who have tried both. I have a new born and would need lot of baby stuff like Nappies and tissues , blankets and infant formulae etc. Do you think it will be cheaper to get a costco membership than Amazon Prime?

Amazon Prime is £79 and Costco is £35. Costco is a mile away and Amazon is 24 hrs away.

Prime. It will pay for itself with the offers and money off you get. I found product in Costco to be higher priced than on offer in one of many other supermarkets plus you have to buy in bulk. Where as most of the times you can buy that product for cheap in the quantity you want if you do supermarket comparison.

I completely agree with JKcool and personally I will pay for Amazon prime not only that sometime they offer you £59 for their membership you just need to keep your eye open for this older as they do not last long

Well I theory of you get Prime you can use Prime Now which is up to 2 hours

Formulae will be the same price in all supermarkets. therefore you will not be able to buy this at a discount in Costco.
Nappies & tissues/wipes. Have you looked at places like Aldi. They usually do baby & toddler events and their products are quite good and cheaper than the leading brands.

One more thing to mention, you need to be able to qualify for Costco membership. I would personally try Prime free for one month and see if its worth you paying the annual fee.

yeah just go for prime and if you know any Costco members their allowed to take guests so tag along...
I find Costco a bit over rated anyway seems half are good prices the other half a rip off lol

If Costco is only 1 mile away the fuel is usually the cheapest around. So that may be worth factoring in. Especially if you have a partner and both have cars.

Costco is rubbish unless you run a daily business or have a very big family. You have buy in large quantity for things that are not even cheap

Amazon is much cheaper for many things, comes with free delivery and free movies and music

you have to pay a £2 tip for each Prime Now delivery even if you are on Prime, so I wouldnt agree about Prime Now being cost effective, Prime - Yes, Prime Now - No

I have both Costco and Amazon Prime. Costco prices on nappies and baby milk are consistently low, whereas prices on Amazon do change. With Costco you are limited to pampers or huggies and they usually only stock SMA formula. It really depends what items you are after. Do you know someone with a Costco membership? If so why don't you go once and have a look and stock up - maybe you can get away with not buying either...

If you can get a Costco membership they will give you a pass to go and look around before you pay the membership fee

Great point if available! Unfortunately not all Costcos have fuel stations (mine doesn't)...

you can untick the tip or even add to it

Prime. gives access to video too. Nappies can be put on a repeat order and prices are pretty good. We did this for two kids.

I second this... so true that Costco rarely impress me with their offers nowadays.

Congrats on your newborn btw
