Does anyone just use Prime Video as their TV service?

I watch very little live TV and download the majority of my TV, mainly American shows as they are at least a week ahead of us and sometimes months ahead of us.

Do others find Prime a viable alternative to "normal" TV ?

Appreciate any and all input.

not enough content?

I do not watch TV broadcasts anymore (no licence), so I use both Amazon Prime for films and Roku for catch-up news and documentaries.

I have Kodi on my PC, does Amazon offer any advantages at all?

We have prime and use it when there's nothing else on. Its not great for variety to be honest.

A lot of the movies are years old and we mainly watch boxsets or new exclusive series which it is really good at. You can also download series/movies to watch on the go as well as a huge music catalogue.

It's only US stuff, there's nothing down to earth on there.

If the OP is already downloading most of his TV shows then chances are he will be getting them in better quality buffer free already :-)
The content through Kodi plugins is no different to what you can download if you know where to look....

As far as Amazon prime video goes...I use it but only because it comes with my Amazon Prime sub....Netflix has a much better range of content.
If you will make use of the Other Prime benefits such as the free delivery, Kindle lending library and Amazon Music (a much over looked and cracking service) then giv eit a try...but If not Netflix is a lot better

Same here, so in your opinion no need for Amazon?

Not unless you want the free delivery and other stuff I wouldn't bother.
you can always try Prime for 30 days for free and check it out...

also, as I'm always buying stuff for have my mates and family I use the nu rush option and take the av credit to buy movies/ shows when they have deals on.

I agree, Netflix is better if you're only interested in video, but Amazon Prime is a good value package if you use all of the related services. That said, it's a little shocking to me that legally watching freeview is more expensive than either Netflix or Prime.
