Amazon will only be receiving stock of what they deem to be vital supplies until April 5th to try to meet demand. Categories they have mentioned are

Baby products
Health and household items
Beauty and personal care
Grocery
Industrial and scientific
Pet supplies.
Books

They won’t be taking Marketplace seller’s stock unless they fall under their categories too. They will carry on selling existing stock outside these categories but once stock is gone, you’ll have to wait until April 5th, or later, for new stock to come in

It will hopefully help with the troubles we’ve all been experiencing finding supplies for ourselves and loved ones. It also means however, that if you are expecting a preorder for something like a video game or DVD, it’s likely to be delayed so may be a good time to move a preorder to another retailer. (Anything releasing this week will likely already be in the warehouse)

Goes without saying, but once Amazon do get things moving with extra stock, please only buy what you need. Don’t stockpile and please don’t scalp products. At a time like this, we need to all think of each other and work together.

Read the link. It’s for the UK too. Literally on the first line.

“NEW YORK (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc <AMZN.O> will only receive vital supplies at its U.S. and UK and other European warehouses until April 5”

I can get unlimited books from ebay. Hardly essential unless you run out of toilet roll.

Yep they will, but it does affect preorders and any items that people need sooner rather than later that may be low on stock at the moment too.
