American fridge freezer opinions please

We're redoing our kitchen. We'd like an American fridge freezer, but having just looked at some in Currys, the freezer compartment seems really small, far smaller than we'd expected. No area or shelf look large enough to hold a 12" pizza!

And they are mostly shelves inside, rather than drawers, meaning you need to stack well rather than bung odd shaped items in a drawer.

If you own an American FF, how do you manage these things please? Don't want to make an expensive mistake!

Thanks

On the face of it our LG American freezer section looks small but it's a bit of an illusion as it's tall and this makes it seem narrow. All the space is usable.Ours has a couple of draws in the bottom , the lowest one being smaller as that part of the casing houses the compressor. Over Christmas ours looked like it had been bricked up with all the packs of stuff in there. We never get one bit of ice , the occasional wipe is all the maintenance it needs. It's 14 years old now and still as good as the day we switch it on ( hope I've not spoke too soon...lol) It is plumbed in too so does filter drinking water and ice. Compatable filters are cheap on eBay.

We had a Samsung one with ice dispenser (not plumb in) freezer was brilliant. Tall, wide, half shelves and half drawers. I would definitely recommend an American fridge freezer if you have the space for one.
Hi OP i’m also looking for one. What are people’s experiences of non plumbed ice and / or water. I’m thinking we wouldn’t use as much and have been looking at models without those as they seem to have issues frequently and seem space consuming.

I’m considering LG as they seem to have the biggest capacity.

I used the ice one on mine a lot but I did a lot of cooking and liked cold drinks so was useful however it does take up some room size of a Brita filter jug if that makes sense.
