an ebay buyer trying it on ?

sold a nokia 8800 sirroco on the 20th of december

was in an ok state

could of done with a new case if you was seriously fussy

now after 50+ days the buyer contacts me saying he gave it to his brother and his brother said it has a faulty speaker (100% sure thats not the case as i was using it upto the day of posting myself)

he is also trying to say its damaged and has been badly open (again it wasnt sent like that)

he left me positive feedback ages ago

does anyone no how long he has to claim ?

any ideas what i should do ?

Dont think he can claim against you as the claim period has passed if its been 50+ days. Ignore the emails from them. If they get abusive report them to ebay. Its up to the buyer to check over the item when they receive it and to dispute/resolve any issues within the 45 days if they paid via paypal.

But to answer your question, yes, they are trying it on. Tell them where to go. :thumbsup:

To be fair, they might not be playing you. They might just think they have some sort of a warranty with you, the same as they'd have with a proper retailer. I'd drop them an email setting them straight.

Yea did have that idea myself but as with all my used phones i state sold as seen, as i always test anything used phone i sell for a while before selling them so i no there working etc
