    Android box convert to Linux

    Guys

I've looked everywhere and before I go and buy an rasberry pi 3 can I please ask if it is possible to change the os from android to Linux on an android box, or duel boot. It is purely to run a Plex server on

    Thank Ant

Not as a server I've spent hrs using different apps with nothing to show for it. Sorry I've just read my original post. it's to run plex as a server. I've tried to install linux through apps on android but no luck

Have a look at XDA developers. This and their forum. Plenty of useful info there!

As a server even the pi will become painfully slow once you have a decent sized library. Better off getting a mini server or a used server off eBay and sticking it in the loft

when I click on the link dvs_dee it says not compatible. I was hoping to run it on android or hopefully convert to linux as the box itself is a quad core 2gb so should have plenty of power

Or just buy an Nvidia Shield which already comes with Plex Server preinstalled. One way to put it like I did to myself was to stop spending money on £30-£50 box's to find whatever annoying things with them and just invest in something that ticks all the box's. Upon saying that I nabbed mine for £75 during Prime day sale (£10 credit from Audible trial offer,£10 from Gift Card offer and £5 from something else can't remember!)

just thought that the Android box being as quick as it is could do the job. I've been looking at qnap nas devices. but they aren't cheap. I'll have to keep saving.
