Angina and Jogging. Blood pressure monitor

Diagnosed yesterday. But i've had it for ages, but diagnosis was harder as its all in right arem, not left.. I get it when jogging and walking up hills etc. They have given me spray and I can take it to prevent attacks too.
But he didnt say I had to stop the exercise. Does that mean /i can keep on with the jogging. In a general opinion obviously if I croak it, I won't hold you lot responsible. Maybe!!!!!!! There is a few I'd like to haunt though.
Now this might be silly question to some, but its the only way i can keep my weight levelish. I have a syndrome that causes crap weight gain.
No its not cream cakes either.
can anyone recommend a good bp monitor too.Doc wasnt happy it was 140/116. Despite meds.

heartstroketayside.org.uk/def…553 found that doing a quick google search.

And have you asked the doctor if your syndrome that causes weight gain is related to the high bp and angina? As I know my bp goes through the roof when I have an anxiety attack caused by my illness.

I was thinking Lupus or Hashimotos

Wife has lupus hence the question (also if it is Lupus and your putting on weight your on the wrong dosage) but i think OP needs to amend the style of impact excercise they do to alleviate some what the impact on their body.

Hence swimming another option would be cycling.

I have pcos. I only have to have a meal out and a drink to pile on 2lb. Takes me weeks to get it off.
Cycling isnt an option as i am still registered blind . Though i have a little sight in left eye, due to cornea transplant. Swimming...yes though I hate it.
I do have anxiety yes!! Though I was fine yesterday.
Also if I put weight on my angina will be worse wont it?

I had an anxiety attack a couple of weeks ago and my bp was high a week later.

I just started looking at PCOS as I found out before I got diagnosed with Hashimotos disease, the drs were all adament I had pcos, as it has some of the same symptoms, also has some of the same diet tips... basically cut out everything that tastes nice, lol.

I dont see any harm in jogging, as it is areobic exercise, just make sure you warm up and cool down properly, and you should be fine.

Not a doctor but sense wise i would presume so, i believe the impact excercise your doing might not be helping so i personally would switch to swimming since that was an option over cycling.

Cant help with pcos im afraid although after reading it does sound linked to glucose intake and recommends a low GI diet but then im a bloke so dont have the first idea of this word "diet". Im going to step out now and let the kitty cat take good care of you advice wise.

    Best of luck

Surely you should be asking your doctor these questions?????

From experience alot of doctors don't seem to know how best to treat these things. They just throw medication at you and expect you to be fine

Still, I'd have thought that doctors would be better to ask than a shopping forum.

I knew Id get someone clever to tell me not to ask on a shopping forum!!!!!!!
Obviously I can ask the doctor. But in imo you get lots more help by asking others. Especially those who suffer from the same.
Nailez yes pcos underlying cause is insulin resistence. We keep carbs and turn it to fat on the body.
I cant do Gi diet cos its all fibreish food. I have Irritable bowel syndrome and fibre kills me.
looks like I should turn to swimming then. yuk.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound 'clever' like that - I just thought that something of this nature is serious enough that you should seriously consider asking your doctor. I would have thought that a doctor could assess you and then answer better than anyone else on this forum.

Well you'd think he would have advised me there and then. I did tell the doc about my treadmill etc. But then he changed subject and as it was all a lot to take in, I forgot to get back to that subject.
    Thanks for the help everyone.
