Any advice for a good quality Ice Cream Maker

    Hi,
I am looking to buy an ice cream maker but really am clueless as to where I begin!

I believe there are ones out there which can be made in the maker itself and then be frozen but as for makes/models I gave no idea where to start!

    Any advice/links are appreciated!

    Thanks

    Julie

Depends on what your budget is but Which magazine voted the Gaggia Geletiera 74500N Ice Cream Maker a top gadget. My brother has one and makes superb ice-cream and sorbets. Ice-cream ready in 30 minutes and makes enough for the family plus it's easy to clean.

Cheap and cheerful you could go with Kenwood, they do cheap ones but you do need to freeze it.

Oooh, GREAT choice. We have had one for years and years now, originally purchased from lakeland and it is just fantastic. I can reccommend the Ben and Jerrys ice-cream book too - the actual ben and jerrys reciepes, yum yum yum. Oh, and it's a good idea to buy the spare bowl, you'll need it if you are making a bigger batch of ice cream.
