Any BT Infinity users out there? BT remove 14 day cooling off period.

Planning on moving from Post Office Broadband/Phone to BT Infinity end of next month and wondered if any one else has recently completed this move and if it went smoothly? I currently only manage a 2mb service with PO and after checking BT website i apparently can now get 37 mb broadband by switching to BT.

As much as i hate BT this seems too good to pass up although I am very happy with the PO homephone service and it's a shame i cannot keep this part with PO.

Probably edge Virgin Media but 18 month contracts suck.

Cannot get virgin media in my area,i detest BT but going from 2mb to 37mb is tempting! £12 a month more per month overall inc home phone line rental.

I just moved to a bt vision pack (needs 2m +) and I have had all sorts of problems

Thing is, I moved from a 1 mb service so I dont know whats a new or old problem. Thing is, with 1 exception, the bt guys were/have been great. They really try and its a bit like dealing with IBM, they are too big to be efficient

All in, it's not too bad, but the resolution could be better. I am still waiting for this to be fixed.

What kind of speeds are you getting now?
Is it just with BT vision you are having problems? I am with sky so won't be signing up for that part.

One note of caution BT has removed the 14 day cooling off period from the newest terms and conditions below, is this legal?

To be honest if i was getting half that i would be happy, i only get up to 2mb at moment, sometimes only half that,my main worry is they have made a mistake as i live quite rural, and apart from a few houses beside me noone else can get BT infinity. The BT guy on the phone this morning said if a problem he would cancel it and i could go back to Post office but only if i placed order with him, so missing 3 months free and £65 cashback via online

Thanks for info, was with talktalk before and it was not a pleasant experience, also they do not cover where i now live.I don't mind BT's 18 month contract too much although their 24 month BT vision contract is a step too far.

bung your postcode into samsknows exchange checker to find out how far from the exchange is and if anyone has their own equipment (LLU) in the exchange, you may be able to get faster speeds with another provider if you hate BT that much.
