Any Budding DJs? Just to check interest...

I'm thinking of giving up a hobby and may or may not sell all my gear, still undecided (which is why this is not a 'for sale' thread).

Now, the equipment would be as follows:

Pioneer DJM500 4 Channel Mixer with Effects
    2 x Technics 1210 MKII with Stanton 500 Cartridges
    Pioneer CDJ100S
    Final Scratch 1.5
    Technics RPDJ1200 Headphones
Also, roughly 200 Vinyl (Trance/House) with some rarities.

Would there be any interest in this lot or any part of this lot around these parts? Would cost too much to put on eBay and through Paypal, so it would have to be delivered by myself or picked up and cash in hand.

If there were any interest around these parts, what price would you expect to pay? (I do already have a price in mind, but would be good to also gain prices expected by other people in order for me to offer at fair prices).

So, again, to re-iterate, these are not for sale at this time, but it is possible that they will be in the future - depending on whether I can let go of something I love doing but don't have time for.

    Cheers for your time.

    Barnsley.

Need a price even though it isn't actually for sale yet? Strange.

But, I would be looking for around £1000 (at least)...

*Edited after thinking about what records go for these days.

Wish i had the money matey, is that the black techincs or silver ones?

    Black ones.

    Would be this lot:

Wow, if i hadnt bought such a dear car i would have had this off of you but i would have haggled first lol

how much for just the decks?

    Original Poster

If I were to split the lot, they would be around £325 for the pair...

Be aware though, this does not mean they're up for sale just yet.

Browni - that's too cheap for a pair of 1210s, and too expensive if you meant "each"! (unless of course if they're 'really worn in')!

    Original Poster

That is cheap for the pair, but they are over 3 years old.

They're not worn in at all, in perfect condition, as with all of the items. But, most likely the cartridges will need replacing and there are no dust covers.

So really whats bumping the price up to over a grand is the records lol

How much are you trying to sell each item for? £325 is cheap for Technics, i should know.

I know a mate of mine was selling them for £500 with a mixer

£325 is def pretty cheap.. I'm happy with my pdx 2000's but I know someone in the market for some 1210's... You'll be able to get a fair bit more than that for them though!

The mixer is worth an easy £250-300

What I was thinking is the following:

    Pioneer DJM500 4 Channel Mixer with Effects - £275
    2 x Technics 1210 MKII with Stanton 500 Cartridges - £325
    Pioneer CDJ100S - £150
    Final Scratch 1.5 - £175
    Technics RPDJ1200 Headphones - £30
Also, roughly 200 Vinyl (Trance/House) with some rarities - £200-300

Brings total to around £1250 - But, with room for haggling and some records not to peoples taste, you never know. It's a git of a market selling second hand DJ gear, too many people wanting stuff for nothing, which is why the prices would be around this.

I would put the records on ebay at a fiver each and let them be bid up, but it's the pain of listing, paying fees, paypal fees, non-payers and so on and so forth.

See, the money side of it is looking nice, but it's still parting with them that might be a problem, even though they're gathering dust at the mo :-(

I've got the same problem - full kit sitting there doing nothing except gathering dust - but I still wouldn't part with them for £325 for the pair! The good thing with 1210s is, unless they are totalled - they'll still get a good price. You'd probably lose more cash on the headphones and the mixer.
Once again, as for the records, if you do have 'some' rarities, i'd flog them separately - if they are any good, a dealer will easily take them off your hands for you.

Yeh the techincs hardly loose their price, well good name brand for really decent equipment

have u sold ure mixer yet mate
    intrested !!1

yeah technics stuff does hold the price as its decent stuff im in need of a new crossfader as mine is knackered i would of been interested in yours but xmas is only round the corner
