Any Builders?? Question about my garage conversion

We are in the process of converting our garage.

Only problem is we are using the existing tin roof, which obviously when it rains it is very noisy. Any ideas on how to quieten it down and rough idea of price?

Our builder has quoted us crown wool insulation with plasterboard on the ceiling. Now he is talking about using Kingspan thermawall with wool and plasterboard which is going to cost more but we are not sure it will work

Any ideas guys??

Thanks for any help

Surely you will need building regs. , these should be from the local council and will tell you what spec is needed to comply, any work done without planning OR regs., will be a problem

The garage is built on to the house and we have a building warrant. They are happy with the tin roof and crown wool insulation with plasterboard but we are worried it won't be enough to quieten the rain.

Kingspan or Cellotex are the big names in insulating boards so they will perform correct
