Found 5th May 2008
I'm getting ready for when my dog has her puppies in less than 2 weeks, & the last thing i need to buy is a play pen for the puppies. I want one with a door so that she can go in & out to feed them. Anyone know of any good deals? thanks

I quite like the fact that this one has a mat with it but £80 is a bit steep, would be great if i could find something similar at half the price:thumbsup:

Ooh!! This is my 1000 post
what my GF family did was use an padling pool (not inflatable tho) as it was water proof for accidents and highenough so the couldnt get out

Great dogs- when we first got the puppy in kept on climbing and jumping out of the pen. We couldn't believe it. They can jump!
go on ebay and get a second hand childrens playpen x
why dont you make 1 m8 might cost a lot less plus you can make it to suit your needs
Have a look on your local freecycle, loads of people give their old playpens away

freecycle.org/gro…om/
These two sites seem to have a few which sound like what you want and not too much money, we have not got any animals so you will know better if they are any good!!! Good luck with the puppies

freecycle, gumtree or ebay! get a travel cot!! so long as its a small dog it will be fine!
Just a thought,if you do buy a new one, make sure its metal,if wood, might eventually get chewed later on if yu are going keep 1 of the pups and want to keep it in there at times.
Cos then least you can resell it later on,and its not a wooden one all chewed on the bars.
Where are you at? Just remembered we have a folding playpen in the loft!
I have bred several litters now and have used a basic metal folding pen for them - it probably wouldn't be to good for big breeds but smaller ones will be fine.

I buy crates and pens from www.pets4-you.co.uk - you can get a 6 panel wire puppy pen for just under £20 and they are really good quality.

We use the puppy pen to contain the dogs when we go away on holiday you can make little runs out of them. Highly recommended.

Good luck with your pups
