Any decent desktop deals with good monitor?

Hi all,

I'm after a new desktop for work, internet, occasional play with graphics files (photoshop), watching DVDs. This will also be for home entertainment so would like a fairly big monitor for DVDs. I wont really be playing any games, but if I do they tend to be strategy based so a little easier on the graphics.

Ideally I'd like to spend anywhere from £350-500. I quite like Windows 7 from what little I've played with it but I dont really know the differences between different versions. Are they work the extra from home-ultimate versions?

I bought a bargain Dell a few years back which has served me well but I can't see any new 'hot' deals posted.

I found this on one of the other deal request posts which from what I can tell might suit me if I can add a good monitor. overclockers.co.uk/sho…-OK

Any advice or deals you can share?

Cheers

Thanks for the link. Just had a look at a few other desktops on ebuyer. What do you think about this for comparison?

More RAM, drive space and operating system for not a great deal more considering I'd need to buy the operating system anyway.

Thanks again.

this seems pretty good, comes with windows 7 preloaded + a graphics card more than capable of strategy games ebuyer.com/pro…286 if i were you though i would look into building your own, trust me it seems daunting but its not, just buy all the parts on a well known auction site, look for good deals you can occasionaly get some really cheap stuff. I recently built a Quadcore gaming pc for £300 from parts off ebay and it can play any game maxed out so it pays off to have a go yourself.
