Any easy 'cover grey roots' ideas? Thanks

I am 39, got plenty grey roots. I have really dark brown hair. Always use a semi-permanent or permanent hair colour, have tried the root-touch ups too. Always grey roots appear again after a couple weeks even if its a permanent colour. Only want to do roots so don't really like to put colour through whole mop of hair.

Use the old mascara trick - daily! - to try camouflage greys that seem to appear overnight.

Any haircolours that you dont need to rinse out? Think I have heard of new spray on ones, but wouldnt they just go all over your pillow?

Thanks for any advice!

PS - don't say just go grey naturally.......

Don't go grey naturally, just dye the rest grey, aint "Granny Grey" the new fashion? I'm a bloke so that was probably soooo last year lol!

I have the same problem and use viviscal. Although it's meant to thicken hair it sticks to hairs so it will cover up grey. Also stays there and doesn't rub off. Brilliant stuff!

Yes, grey probably is the new fashion, but I have it on my lounge walls so would probably blend in.... I am not a bloke by the way!

I have the same problem it is such a pain !!! there is nothing else for it though other than permanent dye I have to do my roots about every two weeks and I am dark brown in my parting and most front sections and temple I am proberly about 80 percent grey and not long turned 30 ( 1st grey hair at 16 :-( .... I have tried the sprays the new loreal one is a good match but I would just recommend them for a quick coverage if u have a last min night out as they still leave a residue when you touch your hair even when they have dried and u only need a tiny bit less is more ... also if you go a lighter brown to a medium brown with scattered highlights and keep ontop of ur roots at home I find I can go about 3 weeks to a month inbetween needing to top up roots if I'm this shade instead of dark brown ,
ive used the coverage sticks aswell bought one from amazon and found it to be rubbish and didn't think that the powder pallets where any good either

Would make for some good spooky selfies against the walls then lol. Fortunately being typical "Irish" Redhead I have no such grey problems. Although actually having anymore hair is more my issue!
Sorry btw and do hope someone gives yourself a good answer.

Yes, the fibres stick to your hair, it feels and looks natural and covers up the grey. It is expensive but a small tub lasts a long time. I bought my last ones form Holland and Barrett when they had buy one get one for 1p.

I've got the same problem with grey on my parting of dark hair and I've found it easier to have a few low lights through the top section of my hair. Last lot I had done were very fine but enough to cover the grey and they lasted 16 week before I went and had them redone.

Root touch up is good, done in 10 minutes

The average "new" hair growth is approximately 1 inch per month, your roots will need doing every month on average. Its something you just have to learn to live with or wear a wig which would be another nightmare.
