I’m looking to buy some wall mounted 2000W heaters which come with a flex for wiring into a fused spur. I’m planning to use 13amp plug on the end of the flex instead Is this acceptable?

This is the heater

Why would you need to unless you're leaving it portable or want to run it off an extension ?
Do you only have double sockets near by ?

Double sockets and ease of installation

You may get some purist suggesting that they should be hard wired but fitting a plug is perfrectly safe and acceptable - 13A fuse.

Some ovens are now supplied with a plug fitted - so no problem fitting to this type of heater.

Shouldn't be an issue as you're not running an additional length of cable from it.

Should be fine.

230v x 13amp = 2990watts max
