Obviously comes flat packed and I'm thinking of unpacking it and loading it piece by piece into the car

I managed to get a pre-built shoe rack in it.

Well the only measurement that matters is the 148 cm as it will be flat packed. did you have 6cm spare when you got the shoe rack in?

Mmm it sort of just fit but that was diagonally. Could possibly squeeze another 6cm but not sure if the planks will go diagonally.

It'll fit one way or another I'm sure of it. Just buy it and it it doesn't I'll get it for you. It'll fit in one of my door pockets

tie it to the roof
Buy a decent car.
You're a woman, right?
I've got a small car and managed to fit 2 flatpack wardrobes and a double chest of drawers in with room to spare

so yeh!
I can't see what this would be a problem if it's flat packed and ya not talking an old skool mini.

After all I got like 14 2.4m decking boards in my Peugeot 206.
The boot opening is very small on the MINI, dont strap it to the roof, get someone else to take it for you!

The mini is a horrible car !
Never doubted it would fit in for a moment. Btw op, dont expect your garden set to last unless you weatherproof it. Speaking from experience.
