Benalmadena port at night is amazing, great atmosphere and some lovely restaurants, great Aquarium, Restaurant el Varadero is fantastic, great views, lovely bbq'd meat & seafood (amazing traditional paella) lucky you!!!!

Hi
Just back from there a few weeks ago. It is probably the nicest seaside resort out of them. Beaches are nice, Granada is definitely worth a trip. the Alhambra is a must! You will need a car unless you want to sit in an english greasy spoon and just think you are in Blackpool. When going to Granada it is also worth driving up the Sierra Nevada. Take a car up to Ronda, brilliant shopping but great sites too, Antiquerra is beautiful and of course drive down to Gibraltar for the day. The old town, something peubla near Benalmadena is lovely too. Hope this helps a little bit.

Head about 1/4 a mile up hill and you get to arroyo ......more spanish and really nice....better than benal...

I love the crazy golf there

second the recommendation on Rhonda, if you can stomach the road - very twisty turney with some steep drops.

Also about 50 minutes (Ithink) drive down the coast towards Gibralta there is a safari park called SELWO. Very worth a visit as it is a real attempt at a Safari park including bits up in the hills you can only get to on the back of open trucks.

I went a few years ago and got bored after a few hrs lol It ok if you plan to travel around abit.

+1 The kids (ages 13 and 10) loved Selwo

My nans got an appt in benalmadena so go out there quite a bit.
In benalmadena theres selwo dolphin park to visit. Tivoli world (fun park) is worth a visit too. Can also go on cable cars. Marina is fab. loads of nice restaurants (my fav - Metro!!) and shops & Boat trips. If you head up to the train station you can catch a train to Plaza Mayor (near to malaga airport). This is a huge complex - factory outlets, shops, restaurants, cinema. We go for the Nike factory store and theres a jeans shop too - diesel, levis, lee etc. Also think there is a new development of M&S. Dont know if ready yet. If you go the other way - last stop on train - fuengerola zoo. Well worth a visit. Gibralter is worth doing too. Can drive up the top & see the caves & monkeys etc. Cheap fags too!! Oh and dont forget 24hr square!!!!!!

been loads around that area, ronda is good but tbh there isnt that much to do there, except a massive bridge thing, looks kwl.

alhambra was ok but bored me a little, dpends what kind of beach your looking for but if you want a really nice beach to go to that is a bit more secluded go along the coast more towards cape trafalgar as the beaches down that way are amazing, around benalmadena they are a bit cramped and sooo english, sucks tbh, also great for some great surfing beaches around cape trafalga
