any one know of any data sims for travelling to Germany?

My daughter is off to Germany for 4 days in November with school. Her phone contract is capped at £2.50 extra with Tesco so she would use this in seconds roaming in Germany.

Is there any sim she can buy for a short period which gives you European data and text, no need to calls as she could FaceTime us if she wanted.

    Thanks

can't you buy a tesco add on for a few days?

Check if it's a three at home country? or use WiFi? it's only 4 days?

With Three I think you can use your mobile abroad for no extra roaming charge. If you got a payg sim, you could top up £10 which would give you 100mins, 300 gets and 1gb data

Just make sure your phone is unlocked

yep get a Three PAYG and put a tenner on it - that will do it

Germany is in Europe it's only 4p a MB so better to just up the cap to £10 for that month only

tesco don't have any data roaming deals, they were free in the summer but now nothing

Thank you, yes we made use of the free summer roaming European data shame it's not on all the time.

Thanks I may just up her cap for a month. She will be too busy to use her phone but I just want to give her the option of using it as it's her first time abroad alone. Think it's more for my benefit than hers lol

    use free wifi

the three option may not work as if she could facetime, then she has an iPhone and so may be locked

I think her iPhone is locked but her old 4s isn't so I could've made her take that phone with her. I think I won't worry too much and just leave her alone to enjoy Germany and tell her she can text me if she needs me

Three. 12gb allowed roaming per month. £25
    or PAYG if light/moderate use
