Any pug owners? Some questions

Hi
I have a gorgeous female pug around 1 and half years old.
Her nose is always dry and the top goes crusty. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it better?
Also the sleep in her eyes, she gets so much of it and it's constant.

Any advice? Thanks

Thanks. I asked my vet and she doesn't know alot as pug are different from other dogs. I'm trying to find a good vet with knowledge of pugs. She says the goo in her eyes are normal but I can't imagine it is. I need to get the goo out every hour and it can't be nice for her.

Thought it was going to be a thread about peugeot's! Dogs have no idea.

Lol sorry guys x

You can spot the boy racers in here as I though the op was talking about a peugeot!!! Maybe a female version would be the 206 cc!!!

I have a 4 year old pug, and she has never had this problem, I regulary clean between her creases and her nose as they are known to have breathing problems if this isn't done. It sounds like your pug may have a allergy to something, there is many forums on google that could help you, or check to see if there is any pug breeders around and maybe give a call to see if they have any advice.

A starting point would be the Breeder you got the dog from >>>>>>

I asked the breeder who I got her from and they said there dogs have the same. It's hard to explain just how much though. I know they get sleep in there eyes but it's the amount. I do bathe her face every day but the sleep just comes back. I'll have to book her into a vets and I will look at a forum. Thanks

i breed pugs and as katie above has said regular cleaning in folds and creases is a daily chore that has to be done with pugs.
dried crusty nose would benefit from some vaseline daily to moisturise
hope this helps

sleepy eyes in pugs is part and parcel of the breed, mine are the same

That's good as long as the sleepy eyes are not hurting her. Thanks Alfie and Harrys mom. I do wash her face all the time but will also try Vaseline
