Hi there use these screws, no plug needed. Make your job so much easier, fitted loads of frames (doors and windows) and these are a must for me

Thanks yes I found out about these a few years ago they are very good think that's what everyone uses nowadays for most frames.

Not sure what sealant I can use which is good and for a fair price.
Use stelmax for plastic to plastic,Frame to trim. It’s tricky to use if you’re not used to it so practice a bit first

Want 102mm long at least
Depends on where in the country you are. But normally the local upvc facias and trim shops are the best. As above use the concrete screws, if you are sticking on trims then use double sided foam tape to hold it in place before sealing around the trims. Make sure to seal every gap including all around the trims to stop air and plus it makes the trims look like part of the windows. Always start with the small gaps first working to the biggers gaps later. Buy some wonder wipes if you sealing is not up to par as these wipe any excess away. Think the High Modulus stuff is better then the low Modulus sealant. If you are in a tricky area mask the area where you are silconing and the press it in, remove the tape and lighty rub it again to fade the lines in.

You can get solvent uPVC cleaner. That's better then the standard uPVC cream cleaner. If the stains have penetrated the uPVC then I doubt anything will remove it. Probably better of masking the window and spraying it with a spray gun for a good result.
