I broke my Tib and Fib playing football on September 13th, have been in cast for almost 10 weeks now and went to check progress today at the Hospital.

The specialist has told me the bone has significantly moved in the last 4 weeks and not healed correctly and now requires a pin putting down the bone via an operation.

So I am on the list and will spend another 6 weeks in plaster after op completed.

I am gutted................ that means Christmas in plaster. ARRGGHHH!!!!!!!

i probably will be after christmas:thumbsup:

my sister had a metal pole running down her fib... she didnt have a cast on, the bit that was worse for her was the physio after as she spent nearly 12 weeks not moving her leg at all.... 2 weeks of that in traction ... hope you have a speedy recovery x

that sounds awful, hope after the operation it will only be 6 weeks, having already done 6 weeks in a full leg and now 4 weeks in an above knee cast I am getting fed up of crutches.

Heres hoping this will be the end of it
