fossil.co.uk/web…019

Its got a nice weight to it, no batteries as its automatic. Had nothing but compliments about it. However you should note that it isn't as dark as pictured.
Works out a lot cheaper from here

nywatchstore.com/mef…tml

Never ordered from that store but they seems legit enough. They have some better pics of it too

I prefer the Fossil one too. If its a pressie for your 18th why dont you leave it for a while, then go back and look at it and see if you still like it in a week or something.. I got a watch for my 18th and I didn't like it after a while (sorry family). I wore it for a little while then it stayed in the box ever since :0/

It has a 30 day return.

Get her to buy it, picture's never do anything justice anyway.

Going to buy it from debenhams I think works out £15 more with the code, but if I need the strap adjusting Debenhams do it for free anyway so would work out the same as shadestation.. but it's her money anyway

That's a fair point, but a bit harsh.

I would pick a manufacturer which specializes in that area, rather than one which doesn't. So I would rather go for Tissot, or for something cheaper, a brand like Seiko, rather than a more generic brand.

That Ted Baker watch is nice though!

I'm looking for a fashion watch really to be honest, and I really like this one so I may just get this one..
Cheers for the advice anyway
a lot of 'designer' watches normally do just have the name plonked on it and sold for hundreds of pounds, some do feel cheap and tacky some do feel more robust and have a bit of weight to them.

Thing is the majority of them will be quartz(battery) movements and the whole watch has probably cost no more than 20 quid to make, but at the end of the day when a watch looks nice and the design appeals to you go for it cos you will be the one wearing it!

i have a ted baker watch and its a good weight and looks brilliant so i … i have a ted baker watch and its a good weight and looks brilliant so i guess its all down to peoples personal opinion as to what makes a watch "good" i go for feel weight face size on my wrist and look whereas numptyj could literally send me to sleep in the pub talking about the different types of movements on tag heurs omegas etc and then just ends up buying fakes that he likes to call replicas :-Dhorses for courses me thinks

haha they are replicas though loool a lot of the chinese factories make them for absolutly pennies, and they have CAD/CAM drawings of the movements, they buy the real piece and rip it apart e.g the factory will buy a $60k Audemars piquet watch just to take it apart and copy it, its mad and a multi billion dollar business, and I guess that the 'designer' watches would probably be coming from the same sorta factories. Anyway enough babbling on from me ...i got a new one which is hopefully turning up tomorrow haha, only cost £42 lol
