Anybody used Arrow XL before?

Hi there,

I'm having a TV delivered tomorrow from Arrow XL (Yodel's 2-man heavy item service) and my current tracking says the item is at the Wigan hub ready to be delivered, only problem is that I live around 200 miles away from Wigan, I just can't imagine that they would do a 6-7 hour drive (There and back) for a personal delivery. Has anybody dealt with this company before and know how it works?

I had a table and chairs delivered by them on Monday and it came within the time slot they told me, have they sent you a text or email with the delivery time slot

Did you check the tracking though and was it close to your home?

I got a text saying they will arrive between 7am-9am which means they would literally have to leave the hub between 4am-6am to arrive between those hours!
Had several deliveries from them and they have been on the ball each time delivering within the time period they told me
yep, same thing for me, chap called day before and said they leave about 3:30 and would be with me by 7am as i was the first delivery! arrived 7:10 - i was furious!
did it arrive ?

It did yeah, they left the depot at around 5am they said and arrived just after 7am. Talk about a good service?
I've been waiting 17 days for them to deliver my treadmill from Argos.Stayed in waiting on my only day off when they promised to deliver and it was a complete no show with no phone call either.This company is a shambles.They let me down twice with this delivery and I am still waiting!
Do not even consider using ArrowXl I guarantee you will regret it.They are absolute liners they will say you was not in or you never answered your phone and put your order back.
Just read their 5 star reviews and see it's obvious they are fictious to keep up their review rate up.
Arrow XL should be closed down. Tesco Direct should help it's many victims as they making this cowboy company rich.
Have a tesco direct delivery coming with them, absolute joke, supposed to deliver between 9.30 and 11.30, got a phone call at 9.35 saying they couldn't find the item in the warehouse. Delivery was arranged for a saturday and need to get it used soon (tiller) so will have to take a day off-bonus, I'll be going after compo for lost earnings from tesco-but what sort of clowns are these guys.
Had a mattress delivered by them a couple of weeks ago. Received a text the previous evening with a 9-11am delivery slot. Called 9.20 to tell us they were 30 mins away. Delivered on time. Excellent service.
I can guarantee that 99.9 % of users of Arrow XL deliverys will be accused by them that you never answered your phone so the delivery was cancelled and then they will give you another day and another day for re delivery that never happens until it falls in with their lies.Beware the talk that they take away the wrappings or remove doors to get your sofa in the house is complete trash,if anything beware of the damage they do while inside your home.
I think they must recruit the delivery men from off the street as the boss drives to work each morning.
I've sat in twice waiting on a failed delivery from this company, contacted them again only to be told that they will phone me when they can give me another date to deliver , paid £40 to not receive my item
one word-useless. whole experience was poor. Emailed last thing Friday to advise they could not find my address (its a new build) but 4 other couriers had no such trouble. Then called and was on hold for 13 minutes before I was told i had to wait 4 hours for the washing machine (so have to go whole weekend without a machine) to be booked back in to arrange a second attempt, which will probably end up the same way! This was a couple of hours ago-will update again later if the useless continues!
Ordered a bed from The Range and arranged delivery through Arrow XL. Day and time slot Wednesday 11/01/2017 - 15.00 - 17.00 agreed. 17.20 we had to phone Arrow XL as we had heard nothing from their office or driver and was told that he was running 2 hrs late. 2 hrs later my partner had to go out and spotted the delivery lorry less than 1/2 a mile from our house (lorry was larger than a 7 1/2 ton for residential deliveries??????) 10 minutes later he had still not arrived and the online tracking service now had changed to "aborted delivery accident/breakdown" contacted Arrow to be told the lorry had a "broken mirror and we would have to rearrange delivery the next morning". Contact made the next morning where told that "vehicle was on a 48 hr route so could not arrange until unloaded the following day" (if the lorry is on a 48hr route that means he is still delivering so where is my bed?? and wasn't it broken down/ being recovered 14 hours ago??) No apologies or enthusiasm to sort the issue and was told that delivery would be before Saturday NEXT WEEK!!!! 10 days after my arranged delivery slot!!!!!! Useless company, Useless drivers, Useless Customer services and have now cost The Range a sale as full refund demanded. I now have to find a new bed for my 9 year old so she is not stuck on a floor.

If it had to go via the Worcester depot, your best bet is to cancel and re-order. That's because ArrowXL had a fire there a couple of months ago, and it took them a while to get their act together and transfer goods to Chepstow depot. They are dealing with the backlog on a 'batch' basis, releasing goods as and when they have spare capacity to deliver. That means anyone caught in this debacle will be inconvenienced a LOT. Suppose they thought it better to inconvenience a few people a great deal, rather than inconvenience a large number of people just a little, get less complaints that way. After several weeks of rebookings I cancelled and re-ordered. That broke me out of the loop, and the new order goods were delivered a few days later. Cancel and re-order.
The worst courier I have ever dealt with, my package got delivered across the road from where i work pre 8am, they were advised it needed to be delivered across the road but ignored this advice, couldn't be bothered to phone me and returned it to the depot, been waiting for over 2 weeks now for this package to be delivered and they don't even know where it is and cant get hold of anyone in their warehouse, I guess this company must enjoy putting customers through misery and the staff obviously want to be put out of a job.
I have a high-value American-style fridge still with ArrowXL one week since the job was request. They initially had this scheduled for 8th July AM, then they moved by 2 hours and another hour real-time and then they cancelled without informing me. At first they lied to me twice on two occasions that the delivery van broke down, but later was informed that the driver ran out of working time, as he has 29 deliveries and I was the last (they stopped at 25). I asked to speak to a manager and they told me I'll be called by one in 2 hours, but I heard from her 50 hours later.

At their slow pace the delivery was rescheduled 4 days later! My wife took time off work to wait for them. This time we were job 25 of 25 (after I frantically begged not to be last to avoid a repeat). Again, we had to call in to find out the delivery was abruptly cancelled because they didn't have the equipment to remove the fridge from the van! Customer care just sounded like they read from a script. They even told us that we shouldn't expect any compensation. Oh I should mention the delivery address was a forwarding address and we had a re-routing vehicle waiting on both occasions that costed us over a £100 each time.

This unacceptable behaviour shows bad customer service and poor management. I'll be following this up, but we are fed up and may have to reject the item.
Ordered 2 garden swing chairs from amazon using Prime, when ordered was told that this order wouldn't be next day, that was fine. Was told delivery was comin from worcester (i live in hampshire!) Delivery would be today (saturday) between 2.30 and 4.30, got a tracking email this morning, I looked at it at 1.30 for it to say that it was being re-scheduled. That was funny as been in all day no one buzzed the property and no one rang. Contacted them, they tried to ring the driver 3 times but he wasn't answering, they then told me that amazon hadn't given them a complete mobile number for me. I cant reschedule until it gets rescanned back in the worcester depot Monday!!!! Funnily enough i received a text message from amazon telling me my order couldnt be delivered but do they not need my full and correct mobile number to do that?!!

Update: we finally received the item in a non-specialist vehicle or equipment. I wonder what the health & safety brouhaha was about. My 160kg fridge was lobed on its side down a truck, giving an expensive fridge a dent on the side. I'm so upset.
Absolute unproffessional. Can't believe Sports Direct use this courier company.It seems the two don't communicate with one another. Not only do they delay my delivery by 5 days,I had to chase them up for them to realise.They had sent to the wrong depot. On top of this, when I requested a change in delivery address from the retailer,(as per their regulations)they send me an email showing the wrong delivery address and they cannot do anything about it apparently. It's up to the customer to sort THEIR mess out.They do nothing of their own accord.Unproffesional to say the least. Do not use this company.Zero star rating!
Just to add a little balance to these reviews...

Had a table tennis table delivered by Arrow XL, by Sports Direct, almost 2 years ago.

Absolutely no issues at all. They called in advance and turned up when they'd promised to. Brought the boxes all the way in, took their photo for proof of delivery, and left.

Just remember, when reading these negative reviews, that people are often quick to complain when things go wrong, and rightly so - but on the flipside they don't always offer praise when it's due, so you'll generally find far more negative reviews than positive.
Shocking company. No predelivery call as advertised, no missed delivery card left as claimed online, no calls back as promised, contact web pages never available. Arbitrary and unreliable

AWFUL COMPANY - UNBELIVEAVLE. Damaged my item. No communication. New one replaced and still no sign. They expect you to do all the chasing when they are in the wrong and are so unorganised. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIFIC
