I am currently running on 205/55 6.5J*R16 ET41 5*110 in my 55 Vectra atm. they were the factory fit.

I wanna get some aftermarket and wanna know if they will fit 215/35 7J*R18 ET35-45 ?

thanks

205 is the width of the tyre in mm
55(%) is the height of the tyre. (205 * 0.55 = ~113 mm)
R16 is the size of the wheel. 16 " wheel on your car.

total diameter = 113mm tyre + 16" wheel + 113mm tyre

or roughly 24" of tyre

225 is 2cm wider.
40 is much lower profile. (90mm)
18 will not fit on your wheels.
90 (3 and a bit inches) + 18 wheel + 90 is just over 24" in total so diameter wise this may fit

Not sure what the rest is. 6.5j and 7J is probably the backspacing so that the extra width of the tyre does not run on the wheel arch etc. but will cause the tyre to stick out more as well. but this is a guess.

Deffo will not fit your wheels, if you are looking at wheel and tyre package, then company should be able to confirm!

Remember that fitting tyres different from those fitted by the manufacturer will invalidate your insurance if you make any claims
unless you notify them

iirc 6.5j and 7j is the width of the rim

Then backspacing will need to be checked as well. otherwise the wider tyres may rub when turning!

NO.... a 16" wheel will obviously NOT take an 18" tyre :? as EvilEd pointed out

The wheels/tyres will fit fine, the 18's are actually slightly smaller overall. The ET is the bit you will need to be careful about though. ET35 is probably the safest bet but will cause the wheel to stick out from the car by about 1cm (out too far and i'm pretty sure its an MOT fail) but that should be ok, ET45 will probably cause the wheel to foul the suspension as the wheel will be set closer into the arches.
