Anyone a hairdresser on here?

I need to buy some shampoo by Schwarzkopf, it's very dark blue and it's to keep blonde hair really blonde! My hairdresser uses it and I keep forgetting to ask which one it is... It's either Bonacure Colour Save Silver shampoo which is in a white bottle or Touch of Silver which is in a blue/see through bottle. Does anyone know which or whether one's just an updated version of the other? Thank you!

That's why I thought it was the old version, as the Bonacure stuff is like £8 a bottle. Do you use it yourself? Does it actually work?

So far so good. Although I'm sure she'll be along to tell us how her Tesco Value 12p a bottle shampoo is good enough to run through her scraggly locks.

Lee Stafford does a purple shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair. They're in boots for around £7 I think.

He also does Hot Shots which are purple toners and are handy if the shampoo isn't taking out all the brassiness.

just read on here that it may have been … just read on here that it may have been rebrandedhttp://www.salongeek.com/hair-geek/112484-schwarzkopf-touch-silver-shampoo.htmlis it this onehttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Touch-Silver-Sliver-Reflex-Shampoo/dp/B001CFIRHU/ref=pd_sim_d_3

Hmmm... That touch of silver one definitely looks the older version (plus it's cheaper)! I'll probably go for the Bonacure one... but has anyone used it? My hairdresser uses it when he doesn't use toner but said it only lasts a week or so where as toner is much stronger... but I can't tell if it works as I always have highlights before he uses it! Suppose the only way to know is to try it! Haha!

i use touch of silver, 99p a bottle

Blimey that's cheap! Does it work for you? Is your hair bleached, dyed or grey? (I know they use it for grey hair too)!

cant help anymore Im afraid, Im a brunette

Aveda does the best blonde shampoo. Its called blue malva.

any shampoo purple or blue based usually with silver or for blondes in the title .its the purple/blue pigments that counter-act yellow tones in blonde hair.lemon juice is no good for this purpose lemon juice just has a mild bleaching effect when used in the sun

Are you lot talking about all blondes here, or just the bottle variety? I always understood lemon juice in the final rinse when washing your hair did actually brighten very gently, even in winter.
That is for naturally blonde hair like mine anyway, it may actually be bad for bleached hair as bleached hair will react differently.

there is a difference between brightening and combating yellow tones in hair.quite often bleaching hair can leave yellow tones (even natural bleaching with lemon juice that wont even brighten in a rinse only when left on)
