Hello, If any of you have been to Canada lately you would have noticed that they no longer stamp the passport. How do you check to see how long you can stay there as a visitor?
If you cannot do this, does anyone know how long you can stay? (visitor/tourist) If i remember right it is around 6 months.

Yep, 6 …Yep, 6 months:https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/arrive-in-canada.htmlYou'll also need an eTA :https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta.html?utm_campaign=eta_20150417_travel&utm_source=online_vanity-url&utm_medium=web-marketing&utm_content=canada.ca-etaSee also https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/canada/entry-requirements if you're a British citizen,

thank you, just wanted to double check. ETA is valid for 5 years, but due to none stamping I wondered how is one to know! thanks again.

The thing is, I could book a ticket for let's say a month, but what if someone decided to stay longer and extend the visit. When you arrive they do not stamp the passport no more, when they did, they would sometimes put a date where you would have to return.

And because it's all electronically recorded there is no way to find out how long you can stay. But like
IamMT stated it is actually 6 months.

So you think the Canadian government track how long someone has been in Canada by a stamp in a Passport?
