Anyone bought a sim only deal from Virgin?

I am looking to order a sim only deal with Virgin as I am leaving T-Mobile and have a PAC code, which expires on 26.08.2016

I don't want to buy the sim too early as I would be paying Virgin and T-Mobile at the same time until 26.08.2016, but I don't want to leave it too late that I miss the PAC code deadline and have to pay T-Mobile for another 30 days of contract.

Anyone ordered a sim only deal with Virgin before and can remember how long they take to send the sim out? T-Mobile take ages to send sim only deals out, as they send them 2nd class post so it can take up to 7 days to arrive. I have had to wait for 10 days before, but they cheekily charge you money immediately from the order date and not the receipt date! Hence they were in no hurry to send the sim out once you have ordered it.

I am hoping someone can confirm that Virgin sends out the sim first class and that it gets to you pretty pronto from purchase date.

Just order it and choose your own start date. Ring them.

Can you really choose a start date? You couldn't do this with providers as far as I am aware.

All my Sim cards from Virgin were delivered in 3 days. Price depends on if you have anything else with them.

I am interested in their £8 per month plan for 1000 minutes. It says £8 per month on their website, which i assume that is total price, including VAT?

I spoke to their chat yesterday and she said 2-4 days from order so like ee, they send sim out se ond class mail. She didn't mention activate so it will probably like ee, where the sim gets sent ready for use.

Have a look at life same network and cheaper, takes a couple of days for the sim to come but you also need on any network a couple of days for numbers to be transferred over
