Anyone doing the Great North Run

Is anyone here doing the Great North Run this weekend? I'm doing it for the first time. 1st real chance I've had like. Would like to hear if anyone is doing it/has done it and how they found it.

    Good luck with that!

I support anyone who wants to run for charity - hard work and detirmination for a good cause.

I've not run it yet - but I plan on doing so at next years one (best get my training in lol)

good luck! Hope the weather isn't to humid for you.

Thanks, I'm running it for Eczema as my little girl gets it really bad and until she had it I knew very little about it.
The weathers quite good up here today, I'd settle for a similar day tomorrow. Will let you all know how I get on.

Didn't want to risk my life!!!..there were quite a few deaths last year..it's something you have to take seriously and put in the proper training.
All the best Paddy and let us know how it went...I'll be watching it on TV...will you be wearing a Paddy T shirt??? LOL

I'll be the good looking fella just behind the Kenyans in the green eczema vest.

If I was there I'd be in front of the Kenyans!!!

I rasied just short of £400 for eczema (my little girl suffers really bad from it). Had a brilliant day, had the day off work booked today knew I would be in bits, but I'd do it again next year and would recommend it to anyone. Brilliant crowd offering, ice pops, sweets, drinks and beer on the way round.

So it's the free beer that's causing the deaths not the excess of exercise!!!!
