Bit of a gross one but want to know!
Anyone ever culled and then dressed a goose, any tips or hints?

a neighbour told me the best way is to axe off the head and then let them drain out but to me this seems awful, maybe im not cut out for this i dont know lol

Bearing in mind theyre a bit big and im a bit little lol

Never tried goose before, what is it really like?

Have you got to kill it then ?

Its not a problem as said cut off the head its the easiest way but dont let go of the bird when you do it

well unless i eat it live  lol

what does it taste similar to??

ive culled a fair few poorly chickens and ducks, the first one the worst one by far but always used the broomstick method, apparently with birds you want to use for table meat you have to hang them upside down before killing and preferably by taking the head off to allow the heart to pump the blood out,it all sounds so ruddy messy,i dont reckon i could lift one upside down either lol
maybe theres an easier way???

lol he goes mad if a poorly hen or duck has to be killed, says im heartless but id rather they were pain free and out of their misery than to be alive and suffering

so whats the excuse for a live and kicking goose? lol
