    Anyone ever won anything ?

Apart from the £135 on the lottery one time and the odd tenner, I can't remember ever winning anything.

Anyone care to share their success stories ?

    Congrats CC!

I won tickets to see Nirvana from Mark Goodier on Radio 1, before they were massive, but I already had tickets! Hehe, I just took more mates!

I won just over a grand on the lottery earlier this year with 5 numbers.

I won 2 mountain bikes for my kids doing a sports day run by my local council.

I won a computer game from C&VG magazine when I was wee.

I also won second prize in a beauty contest on Monopoly.

Oh, and my wife won a laptop, also from the local council.

    nice one curry chops!

A colleague of mine won £3000 at the bingo. I never enter anything. The most I've won is £32 on a scratch card.

A mate of mine won £111,000 5 year ago at the bingo and it was his first time there jammy b****** lol he jumped on top of the table screaming "ive won, ive won" it was one of those linked games around the country.

He bought a house 4 year ago and paid £60,000 he just sold it a month ago for £124,000 and moved into a 4 bedroom house in a posh part of the town.

My friend won one of the millionaire new year draws that the lottery used to do.

He won 1.2 million and he was only 25. His financial adviser told him that was the absolute minimum he could use to "retire" at his age. I would reckon that figure would be nearer 2m now.

He didn't go daft, bought a bigger house only a couple of hundred metres from his old house, bought a TVR Cerbera, which he has since sold and retired, for a while.

He now works part time in the passport office becasue the boredom was doing his head in! Poor Bloke.

OMG..it beggars believe that you can get bored with that money and with the time to enjoy it..what was his marital status? I guess if he was married with a family then his movements would have been restricted..but a single guy could have the time of his life.

So where are you now cutthroat..I guess you've left China??

Very Little is the quick answer, but thinking about iot :

    * Tickets for various concerts via local radio (plus loads of CDs, books, T shirts, mugs etc)
    * £100 - Photo competition with "Mother Love"
    ]http//ww…htm)
    * Netgear Router and MP101 music streamer
    * A free 28" x 28" framing of one photo (I chose a moon shot I took a year or two ago)

    I think that's it ....

I won £1000000 on who wants to be a millionaire........and then i woke up.:-(

I won a 3 piece set of Samsonite luggage at my bank! And I once won a tenner on the lottery, but i don't play it any more.

I won free flights for life (25 years) with british airways. I won it on the utravel website 6 years ago. Not long after that I won a 400 quid mountain bike from popz popcorn. Since then I've won nothing.
Can't complain using first price to fly to florida in just over a week :-)

jeez, no wonder your called cloudnine I'd be on cloud nine too if i won free flights for life.

Yeah my name was pulled out of a hat on a webcast by leslie joseph (birds of a feather) on the london eye. I did not believe it was true till we were actually on the first flilght to texas.

Actually I also won a crate of smirnoff ice a few years back as well.

I won an xbox 360 premium with the game GUN. I won a 20gb Sony mp3 player. I have won tickets to see Anastacia, The Prodigy (with free beer all night), David Gray, Lemonheads, Beck, Scissor Sisters, Shakira. I've also won a couple of books, CDs, and a couple of classical concerts in the Royal Albert Hall.

I won 2 VIP tickets to the "Golden Joystick" awards cerermony in 2005 at the Park Lane Hilton hotel with champagne breakfast, 3 course lunch (with wine), awards show hosted by Jimmy Carr and tickets to the aftershow party with free beer until late into the night!

    I think that's it!

I won the top 40 singles (on vinyl) when I was about 12.

Also "won" £1 on a scratch card today.

I don't think so mate, i could happily retire on half a million and live off the interest, very comfortably

I won a life of bliss with a gorgeous wife and three wonderful children....who's fooling who???i

The most i ever won was Fifa2000 PC game.yeepee:from Kelloggs
then i got married and my winnings stopped:)

£1 Million in a High Interest account = £50K per year right?!

I won a T-Shirt and got my name in The Times when I was 10, for my drawing of a T-Rex.

I also won some expensive PC software from the Daily Mail for their 'design a video game' competition when I was 12.

My brother however won the ultimate prize! He got to meet Mr Blobby (in his heyday) thanks to his Burger King drawing entry.

Don't think I've won anything in a decade now besides a couple of tenners on the lottery.

PMSL - Just had a vision of Mr Blobby going into BK and ordering a Whopper !!

I won £10,000 a 3 or 4 years ago on the Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football online competition :-D (it was only my 2nd attempt!!!).

Its' all been spent now though - so I've taken up Poker to make my next 10k.

Too much squad rotation in footy now, making it impossible to 2nd guess these continental managers. At least with poker I can only blame myself/cards/luck/poor opponents/etc.etc.etc........... hmmm maybe Fantasy footy is easier after all ;-)

I've not won anything for years! When I was at School I won a few prizes but nothing big ..

When I was about seven I won a load of expensive prizes for my school in a BT competition where you had to draw or write a story about an alien. I drew the best Alien and then only ended up with my face painted like it as a prize for myself, my school got all of the good stuff!

Around the same time I also came second in a competition for a holiday to a large theme park in France. I ended up with a goody bag which wasn't quite as impressive as the week's holiday

So you're telling me that you could win half a million quid, not spend ANY of it, retire and be satisfied with a measly £25k a year in interest for potentially 60 years, and NEVER dip into the capital?
You're thriftier than me, if you can manage that!

He's married with 2 kids CC.

Still in China, but less than a week to go now, ship movements depending.

My wife's on my back to come home so she can get the Christmas decorations up! Hehe.

Thanks cutthroat...yeh I bet your wife is getting anxious for your return...at least you'll probably avoid most of the Chrimbo shopping...although if she follows you she'll do most of it on the net.
So how long is the journey and where do you sail to?
