Anyone good with physics - refraction and frequency, velocity, wavelength?

Found 1st Nov 2009
Hi all. I have a question that I am stuck on - would REALLY appreciate some help!

When plane waves cross into a less dense medium, what changes occurs in (i) frequency, (ii) the speed and (iii) the wavelength?

i think the wavelength increases, the speed increases and the frequency stays the same - would that be correct?
If this is correct, can anyone please explain why this is?

Thanks so much, will leave rep!

No disrespect but you can't possibly get through the course by repeatedly making threads........

Can you?

i'm sure your correct, can't really explain why though, not done physics in a few years
