Anyone had cavity wall insulation installed by E-On?

Just had a quote over the phone for £230 by E-On & will be called within 6 weeks for a survey. Does this mean that price could increase upon survey?

I know Tesco are doing it at £198 but at survey stage this can increase!! What about EDF?
I've also had no response for weeks with the government grant so I give up on that route!

Also I heard that where they pump it through walls, it can get caught on rough edges therefore not covering all of the wall. (He moved a wall for his extension & could see where the insulation had missed). Is this the only way it gets done now or do they use another method eg beads?????

Any advise on what I should do & who I should go with !?

If its a "QUOTE" the price is fixed, guaranteed, can`t be changed. Obviously best in writing.
Anything else is only an estimate.

Have you got a link for the Tesco one!

Most companies now use beads, but make sure you ask them & get a definite answer from them.
