Anyone have any experiences with swoop.co.uk?

costs 50p to place a bid... just wondered if anyone on here had used them before & won an auction?

hi it seems very good, i joined a week ago and bought just 50 bids at £25, i stayed up to 4am one morning bidding on laptop with bluray and just missed out, guy won it about 10 bids later, street price was £1199 and he got it for fixed price £39.99, was on the 7p auction.

I wouldn't waste your money. I watched these and calculated that the company was making thousands out of the auctions. The auctions increase by 7p and each bid is 50p...by the time something gets to £20 for example, the bids placed total £142.86. Calculating therefore something that is standing at bids totalling £427 means people have placed over £3000 worth of bids...it's tantamount to gambling!

I did try, regretfully at some unearthly time at night (I have non sleeping baby and statistically odds should have been in my favour!) and just when I thought I'd won, it told me I hadn't, despite it accepting every other time I'd pressed the button! Make of that what you want! :whistling:

I think the only winner here is the auction house! :viking:

yeh but you forgot where you said bids placed could be £142.86 at just £20 auction price it can even be £1000 or £2000 at just £20, remember bidbutler or normal bids can be 20 or 50 people at just 7p for example, or like at 70p another 20 or 50 or how ever many people chouse to bid, your example is only if 1 person bid at each 7p, so its even more of a con in my eyes, also remember there are even 1p auctions, even more profit for them to make.

hello anyone got any free bid vouchers for swoop
