There's quite a bit of bloat I would imagine, but it feels nice and solid, I never even ran XP on mine, but it runs as well if not better than XP on my previous netbooks. It's kind got the feel of Vista but without the slowness

    I definitely would

Fairly straight forward to do it via usb, have a look at the guides, I used the HP utility to format the drive as bootable and then copied the source over. had to rename bootmgr to NTLDR and it worked fine, Google has the answers

im running it on my aspire one (as well as tinyxp / mac osx 10.5.6 / fedora 10 / backtrack 3 / tinycore), no problems so far, runs better than xp!

I dual boot my Medion, Windows 7 RC1 on partition 1 as NTFS, a data partition as FAT32 (though it doesn't need to be), and Leopard OSX 10.5.7 on partition 3.

windows 7 works on anything really... ive put it on really old computers and its quicker than XP from what I've seen.

Did you upgrade from 10.5.6 using the apple updater or did u do a fresh install? Are there many differences between 5.7 & 5.6?

AAO 1GB 120GB deleted Linux, installed W7 (sooo easy with a EXT DVD Drive) I find W7 a touch slow compared to the original installed Linux, however have to say it does run very smoothly. Might try Ubuntu remix next.

Does the wireless work ok with Windows 7? I was looking into this the other day and read there's no drivers for Windows 7 which'd be a real negative for me.

    Dunno not explored enough yet.

I used MSIWindosx86.iso (10.5.4) then a driver pack which includes a base pack for 10.5.4, which then allows you to install 10.5.7 combo, then a full driver pack.

    reboot, all good.

You have the option to install using compatibility mode (XP SP2 / Vista + older MS OS's) I've not had any driver problems at all and wireless works 100%!
