Anyone in the cheshire area makes wedding dresses? or shops you would recommend?

Daughter is going to tie the knot-happy news at last!!!..she has her head screwed on and wants to keep in a budget, dress included.
She wants a tea length dress pref 50s style halter neck.

We are struggling to find any locally so far.
    Any ideas? Thanks xxx

Pronuptia and the Ivory Lounge in Chester are good ones to check out

It's not really the right area but Elegance Bridal Studio in Barnsley (South Yorkshire) have a range of dresses that sounds similar, you could try giving them a ring and see if they'll be able to help.

Thanks! we are gradually widening the net! she has seen some on ebay she loves, but the seller hasnt responded about when we can view them even tho she said she had a showroom..makes me think theyre from china..i wouldnt like to risk just buying it. Local stores wont get the dresses in unless they have the guarantee she will buy.

a friend of mine got hers from her promdressesnew.com i know you said you wanted to view it first, but, this could be an option they have some lovely ones between £100-£200

also.......if your willing to do a 2 hour drive, there is a placed called hornsea freeport (obviously in hornsea) that has a huge wedding shop full to the brim of cheap dresses, all new of course, its a lovely shop and has everything you would need!! extremely cheap

    /\ The Wedding Collection.

Hornsea Freeport Outlet Shopping Village, Rolston Road, East Yorkshire, HU18 1UT - 01964 534211

    Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm, Saturday 9.30am - 6pm, Sunday 11am - 5pm

Congrats on the good news .:D

There are lots of lovely shops in Chester also a lot of there charity shops stock wedding dresses ( some new and if not been proffesionally cleaned ) might be worth a look to keep the budget down
Also Monsoon in Cheshire oaks do wedding dresses ( well they did a couple of years back when my friend got a designer dress and shawl for @ £80 )
Good luck with the hunt x

I read the thread...so funny. I would have been out of my mind!
In work we used to deal with a lot of them and they were all polite and nice to deal with tbh..i think the few that make trouble spoil it for the others...
