Anyone Know how to remove decals from a bike/car

    Hi there

I have just bought a new vespa scooter, the guy i bought it from won it in a competition so it has some decals splashed on it, is there any way to remove them.

I heard a hairdryer works but i stay in a flat so don't have a cord long enough to reach is there any solution/solvent that will help remove the decals

    thanks

Heat is the best method followed by something like wd40 to remove the residue

Some people say you can use the Tar remover you can buy but personally i would ride over to a mates/parents house and use the heat method - take your time and you will get a good job

Got to be heat but you must be cautious when you do it cause it is very easy to damage the paintwork it does'nt take a lot of heat to soften, be so careful

No not quick but it is so easy to over heat and the paint will spoil you just have to get it just right be very careful evry sort of decal is diff , be patient and dont over heat remember you can always add more heat but if you heat to mutch to start with the damage could be done if that makes sense to you

Kettle of hot water works for me everytime on motorcycle fairings to remove they stupid warning stickers(Ruins the look I think) you get on a new bike.
Usually peels off in one go with no residue.
