Anyone know how to reveal starred passwords in web forms?

Need to reveal a password in a router control panel. Easier than ringing up the ISP.

Anyone have a sure fire way of doing this?

    Cheers

    What router is it?

    Have you ever changed it?

    What Browser are you using?

If you're using Firefox and the password is known to the browser, Tools > Options > Security > Saved Passwords > Show Passwords will show you everything it has.

if it's still the default password you should be able to google it just search

    +model of router +admin +password

and see what comes up. I'm guessing thats what Xb0xG was getting at.

    worto.

Have a look at the source code of the login page, if it's an old router then the password will just be there.

I'd try the general asterisk logger first, but if it is a web form you'll probably need the browser specific one.

Awesome! That's a very handy app. Worked on my netgear router with IE but not with the one I was trying to retrieve the password from...

Ah well, ended up ringing BT. Got it sorted in the end.

Nice, I didn't know that. Will keep it in mind for the future though!
