google an unlock code

No idea if this will help you but.... http://www.wikihow.com/Unlock-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-(S2)

yeh first you need a level 1 flamedeer and then u need to call up samsung.

3 things here.

1) unlock phone network
2) unlock bootloader
3) root

2) and 3) have things in common, 1) does not. You don't need root or an unlocked bootloader to unlock the phones network.

Thanks for the replies, is there no app or something i can buy to open the network? Really need it unlocked urgently. If not, where do i buy the code from? I just want to unlock it the quickest way possible, root was abit lengthy and risky. I mean i looked on ebay and couldnt even really find a reliable looking unlock code seller. I think this IME way was how i done it on my previous phone

All the unlocking apps require the phone to be rooted. See the link below for a step by step guide to rooting and unlocking the phone for free.

Don't try so hard to look like an expert, Samsung don't use locked … Don't try so hard to look like an expert, Samsung don't use locked bootloader outside the USA. Anyway op, it's either buy a code or root, unlock, triangle away, unroot.

If you think trying to be clear (easy to understand) is an attempt at looking like an expert, you don't know very much.

Rooting an S2 only really involves a USB cable plugged into the PC, Samsung USB drivers installed on a Windows machine, an application called ODIN and the root tool to be used with ODIN. It's really easy and no risks at all.

OP, I cannot remember the app now but I did manage to unlock an S2 using an app downloaded from the play store.

You could try this:

play.google.com/sto…=en

I am pretty sure that the device did not need to be rooted. I don't have an S2 anymore so I cannot confirm which app it was.
